Steven Ring Named G-MAC Player of the Week

He ran rings around the bases all weekend. So it's only natural for Steven Ring to get some conference-wide recognition.

The senior DH on the Charger baseball team was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week Monday morning. The award was announced and chosen by the conference office.

In Hillsdale's three-game sweep of Maryville University, Ring was on fire, batting .615 with 2 home runs, three doubles and 11 runs batted in. He drove in six in the team's 14-4 win over the Saints Sunday afternoon, giving him an unbelievable 15 RBI through the season's first five games.

With each home run and run batted in, Ring puts his own career school records in those categories further out of reach. His current totals stand at 38 home runs and 148 RBI.
