HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Wayne State University women's tennis team (14-7 overall) lost its road contest to Hillsdale (5-4 overall) on Friday, falling 5-4 to the Chargers.
Junior
Dasha Kuznetsova, (Moscow, Russia) was WSU's lone double winner.

Khadija Da-Silva (Burlington, Ont. / Robert Bateman S.S.) won the only doubles contest for the Green & Gold, losing 9-8 (7-3) to Katie Bell and Corinne Prost.
Seniors
Andreea Mitrache (Sterling Heights, Mich. / Warren Cousino) and
Liz Ghellere (Ararangua, Brazil) lost 8-4 in the second flight to Halle Hyman and Hannah Cimpeanu. Freshmen
Brianna Douglas (Dayton, Ohio / Chaminade Julienne) and
Linda Liong (Tanjung Kidurong, Malaysia) also lost 8-4, as Kamryn Matthews and Madeline Bissett earned the win.
SINGLES RESULTS
Mitrache and Kuznetsova were both victorious at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Mitrache won 6-2, 6-1 over Bell, with Kuznetsova earning a 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 outcome over Hyman,
Ghellere won 6-1, 6-4 over Corinne Prost.
In the third flight, Da-Saliva lost 6-1, 7-5 to Campeanu.
At No. 5, Matthews bested Liong, 6-2, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3.
Bissett earned a 6-3, 6-2 win over Douglas at the sixth flight.

The Warriors will take Saturday off before playing their third match in four days. WSU will travel to Ypsilanti to take on Eastern Michigan starting at 6 p.m.
