Bio

Kelly Zdan, MS, LAT, ATC, NREMT officially joined the Hillsdale College Athletic Training staff in August of 2022, as the athletic trainer for the Charger track and field and cross country teams. Although this is her first full-time position, Zdan isn't new to Hillsdale or the athletic training staff, having spent her final student clinical rotation working with the Chargers in the same department before graduating from nearby Adrian College in May.

At Adrian, Zdan completed her Bachelor of Science degree in 2021, and also a Masters of Science in Athletic Training from the same institution in 2022. During her time as a student assistant at Adrian, she was able to work with a wide variety of different sports, and also earned valuable experience with multiple Chargers teams during her clinical rotation here in the 2021-22 season. In addition, she also spent a summer internship in 2021 at the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida working as an athletic trainer there in between the completion of her Bachelor's degree and the start of her Masters program.

On top of her work in the field, Zdan has also spent time doing research into various aspects of athletic training and is working toward publishing her findings in the near-future.

Originally a native of Alonsa, Manitoba in Canada, Zdan came to the United States for college. In her free time, she's an avid traveller and especially enjoys spending time in the outdoors.
