A dynamic basketball player who was named All-GLIAC three times
and All-District three times, Granberry graduated from the college
as the program’s all-time leader in career blocked shots
(176). He never missed a game in his four year career and was a
three-year starter. He shares the single-season record for most
blocked shots (74) and was an NAIA honorable mention All-American
in 1984-85. He played professional basketball in Mar Del Plata,
Argentina and was conference MVP in 1986. After his playing days he
coached at Benet Academy High School near Chicago and has worked
for FedEx.
