Gordon Sanders '84
An NAIA national champion and nine-time All-American, Gordon Sanders remains one of the most highly honored distance runners in the history of Hillsdale College. During his college career he set school records in the two-mile run, the 5000-meter run and the 10,000-meter run. Sanders went on the compete internationally and was ranked as high as 29th in the world. He was ranked as fourth-fastest American in the 10,000-meter run in the 1991 and qualified for the Olympic trials on two separate occasions.
