Glenn Magrum '84

 

A seven-time All-American and two-time national champion, Magum was the NAIA national champion in the steeplechase in 1984 and in the three-mile run in 1983. He also earned All-American honors in the indoor 5000 meter run and as a part of the 4 x 800 relay team. Magrum set school records in the 3000 meter run and the 4 x 1500 meter relay, and was the GLIAC and NAIA district 23 champion in the 5000 meter run.  He received the American Institute of Chemists Award in 1984 for his accomplishments in the classroom and went on to earn seven patents that deal with adhesives and reinforced fiberglass pipe.
